What is Research Paper?

When you hear those words, what image comes to mind?

Do you see yourself sifting through stacks of articles and books, searching for "treasure" in the minds of others? No matter what picture you conjure up, it's a safe chance that you're conjuring up images of information sources—articles, books, individuals, or works of art. A research paper, on the other hand, is more than the sum of your sources, more than a compilation of various bits of information about a topic, and more than a survey of the literature in a certain field. A research paper is a piece of writing that examines or defends an issue. You should offer your own thoughts and information in a research paper, regardless of the sort of research paper you are writing. Your final research paper should be supported by the ideas and information of others.

For example, a lawyer investigates and learns about several instances before relying on them to support his or her own position in court. A scientist reviews a large number of case studies in order to support a certain scientific concept. An undergraduate history student writing on the Vietnam War could study newspaper articles and books as well as interview veterans in order to establish and/or confirm a point of view and then back it up with facts to back up their claim.

A research paper is a formalised essay in which you provide your own interpretation, appraisal, or argument in support of your point of view. When you write an essay, you draw on all that you personally know and have considered about a certain topic matter. When you write a research paper, you expand on what you already know about the subject and make a conscious effort to learn more about it from experts in the field. Research papers include examining a field of expertise in order to get the most up-to-date and accurate information feasible about that topic. And if you know how to conduct a survey, it may be both organised and targeted. Don't be concerned about becoming lost in a sea of information sources.

Rather than that, this guide is intended to assist you in navigating the research voyage, from formulating a research topic and thesis through conducting research, producing a paper, and properly documenting your sources and sources of information.
